The F520 is a modular OTN DWDM transport platform for metro-backbone and long-haul networks — the layer that multiplexes many client wavelengths onto a single fiber pair and carries them over distance. Chassis come in 1U (4-slot), 2U (8-slot), and 5U (20-slot) platform forms plus 1U standalone units, with 1+1 redundant AC/DC/combo power and hot-pluggable cards. The line-card catalog covers 10G/100G/400G transponders; 40G/100G/200G/400G muxponders; C-band EDFA (including R/B and two-stage) and O-band SOA; DWDM mux/demux and OADM; AAWG; OLP and OCP optical protection; DRA Raman amplification; DCM dispersion compensation; and OPM/OSW/OTDR monitoring. It supports 400G/200G/100G coherent DCO modules, single-fiber DWDM over red/blue ports, and an optional OSC management channel with its own monitoring port for real-time optical-power and OSNR telemetry.
