TORmem F520 DCM (dispersion compensation module) card — cancels the accumulated chromatic dispersion of a fiber span so high-rate DWDM channels stay within their tolerance on the F520 platform.
Chromatic dispersion accumulates over a fiber span and smears high-rate pulses until the receiver can no longer recover them. A DCM (dispersion compensation module) applies the opposite dispersion to cancel it, keeping the channel inside tolerance. The F520 DCM card slots into the F520 chassis and is sized to the span length and line rate. Compensation value is matched to your fiber span — exact configuration confirmed at quote.
